Here's an interesting little anecdote: slowing down a page load time by half a second causes customer satisfaction and a 20% drop in traffic for Google.
That's huge. That suggests (at least, theoretically) that if you can speed up your load time by half a second, you could GAIN 25% more traffic (Here's the math, for those that find it hard: 100% - (100% x 0.2) = 80%, so 80% x 1.25 = 100%). Businesses should latch onto this as fast as they can.
So despite the tax it puts on your CPU, maybe Google Chrome is the future, after all.
