Updates

Lots of news for you to use.

The Internet is FAST

Well, I wrote this post yesterday, and already there's a story to follow it up...

Facebook OWNS YOU FOREVER.

Though they are trying to deny it. Though seriously, this is NO DIFFERENT than their old terms of service - the second you upload anything, it's their property, not yours.

Which makes this story even worse.

More from FB and Twitter
There's been lots of talk about the business feasibility of Facebook and Twitter.

Well, Facebook was just appraised - while $3.9 Billion is good, it's nowhere near the $15 Billion they were claiming. And the fact that the program was apparently stolen devalues it somewhat, as well.

Twitter, on the other hand, is sort of on more of an upward trend. Congress is getting into it, and they just held a festival to promote... uh, Twitterness.

Still, for all that talk about advertising on Twitter, Twitter's decided to go in the opposite direction - charging companies who may have wanted to pay for advertising to simply be on Twitter, since it was becoming increasingly apparent that advertising wasn't worth enough.

But if you thought Facebook was going down, think again: their competitor just announced defeat.

Your Google Update

I really wish I could stop talking about Google, but they keep coming up too much stuff...

Despite the negative connotations of being affiliated with Google, it doesn't mean they aren't trying to grow their business.

Of course, this means it comes at their users expense, seemingly.

With all the controversy with YouTube mutings, it's understandable that the removal of Blogger posts...

Oh, and by the way, YouTube is now selling videos. Like you couldn't do that before.

Google's now tracking electricity usage. AND they've somehow made a Facebook like thing that is just built into your web browser. More proof of their Godhood.

Various other business stuff

Paypal is screwing you.

If you're a business, why aren't you on StumbleUpon?! Or Digg? (I'd say Reddit, too, but it's harder to be corporate there).

Finally, Web 2.0 is dead. At least... as a term.
